| New and Improved Candles! After some research and testing we have chosen new wicks to use in our votive and pillar candles. This is a natural cotton braided wick. These two candles now burn with a larger flame, offering more light. We also now offer pure beeswax tealight candles. These are in their own small metal cup and are perfect for small candle holders. They keep all of the wax contained. As always, burn candles in a safe candle holder, and never leave unattended. Our candles are 100% pure beeswax with no extra scents or blended waxes added. They burn cleanly, improving indoor air quality and smell sweet, like honey. We hope that you enjoy them! |

| Honey bees gather nectar from flowers. They beat their wings to create a breeze in the hive that evaporates the water out of nectar to make honey. As they nourish themselves with the honey and stored pollen they secrete beeswax in scales from a gland on their undersides. They turn around eight pounds of honey into a pound of beeswax. The candles from this beeswax burn evenly and completely in a pure way that emits no smoke or soot, like other types of wax. Burning beeswax candles actually improves indoor air quality by changing the ions in the air from positive to negative. These ions then bind to positively charged particles in the air, like smog and dust, and create a heavier particle which falls from the air and can be removed from home surfaces by dusting or vacuuming. Candles are most commonly made from paraffin, which is a by-product of the petroleum industry. Petroleum is refined and bleached with benzene and other toxic solvents to create paraffin. It is a detriment to air quality when it is burned, giving off soot and carcinogenic particles. Would you burn a tire or wish to breathe car exhaust in your home?
