Api Culture High Laurentians

This yard is where we catch mated Russian and CarniolanQueens

As we use more organic beekeeping procedures at Honey Gardens Apiaries, we have an alliance with Api Culture High Laurentians and buy mite resistant queens here each Spring. These queens produce offspring that naturally clean the mites out of their hive.

Api Culture High Laurentians is a bee farm located in Ferme-Neuve, 300 km north of Montreal, Quebec specializing in production of organic certified honey with 600 hives and in selection and development of resistant bees.

The bee crew is this picture, from left to right is Anicet Desrochers, Gabriel Lanthier, and   Ricky bee ( Éric Brault). Anne-Virginie Smidt was not at the nordic mating station on this day.

" We previously selected  pure Russian drone mothers colonies for there well adapted nature in northern climate, mite resistance, high honey production, gentleness, hygienic behavior, survival trait in extremely hard winter with explosive spring build up, etc. We then cross our virgin queens from our top pure Russian and carniolan breeders queens in this isolated nordic mating station.

We work our project of  selection and development of resistant bees with 6 lines of Russians and 5 lines of Carniolan since 1999.Resitant Russian and Carniolan queens  available to the USA from 1 of June to 25 of August"
